Ogunquit a summer resort whose name means “beautiful place by the sea” is a regular location for our outdoor tented events. Once the part of Wells Maine the sleepy seaside town sports a population of 892 people. An extremely popular summertime retreat in southern Maine because of it’s central location to York and Wells Maine alone with the seaside city of Portsmouth New Hampshire. We were honored to be a part of the private wedding event for the Griffin family. Working with Beautiful Days Events in Maine we setup on of our elegant 46X125 Sperry Tents on the Strata engineered floor. The caterer was Kitchen Chicks in Cape Neddick, ME. Supplying a banquet that was fit for a King and Queen.
We had to setup the floor and supports so we could traverse a large sloping hill and keep everything level and structurally safe for the celebration that would occur on top of our floor! All went perfect and another successful event is in the books. Visit our website for more Maine outdoor tented weddings.
The Barn at Flanagan Farm, a sublimely refined late 19th century Maine barn and farmhouse, provides an exceptional event space and gracious accommodations on one property. Previously owned by Gwendolyn Flanagan (1916-2008), the sixty-six acre farmstead was purchased in 2011 by Gail Landry, who granted a conservation easement on the land to Maine Farmland Trust, thereby committing to keeping the property a Forever Farm. Located twenty minutes south of Portland in Buxton, Maine. The Barn at Flanagan Farm seamlessly merges rusticity and sophistication. Hosting at The Barn will make your event—whether large, small, or somewhere in-between—a truly remarkable experience.
We supply the elegant sailcloth wedding tents that , depending on event size, can reach 46’x 125′ in size. Over looking sixty-six estate-like acres, you will find a six-acre cleared pasture for dinner and cocktail tents, room for play, pear and apple trees, all white flowering plants, a blue-stone patio and private woodland sanctuary that can accommodate 200 guests.

What a wonderful location to install one of our 46′ round Sperry Tents with a Strata Engineered floor. The location was a private home in Biddeford, ME. Sandwiched between Old Orchard Beach and Kenneybunkport Maine, Bidderford is a sleepy ocean front community with it’s northern boarder on the Saco river. This offers all types of water front beauty from Ocean views, river locations and small river lakes making it a very desirable location for suburbanites living in Seacoast Maine.
The installation was very challenging as you can see in the picture we installed a floor and tent on the side of the hill and center stage for a magnificent water view. We created a space that many event guest thought the tent actually sat on a preexisting deck! Check out our website to see more Wedding tent events and start planning your outdoor event today!
One of our favorite places to for a tented outdoor wedding Maine event is at Newagen Seaside Inn. Boothbay Harbor Maine. Located at 60 Cape Newagen road in Southport. Newagen Seaside Inn offers stunning ocean side wedding and reception views. Many say that the Boothbay Harbor region is the quintessential coastal Maine village. Downeast Magazine named it #2 on their list of the 10 prettiest villages in Maine. For generations travelers have made the journey from Portland, Boston, New York and beyond for adventure, refreshment and to explore the delightful history of our region. The area has a rich heritage of fishing, shipbuilding and hospitality. As a location for your destination wedding you could take advantage of the recreational activities Newagen has to offer:

There are many beautiful islands off the coast of Maine. Nowhere is that truer than in the waters off Portland. And what better place to have your magical tented outdoor wedding event than on Diamond Island? First we have to get the tent, installers and all the equipment out to the island all at the same time. When they say “the boats leaving” they are not kidding. Down the ramp we go and onto the ferry that will bring us to Diamond Island.
We made it all in one piece with nothing left behind. Now the hard part begins. Each event location has it’s challenges the most important being to never leave a foot print after you have left. The finished product was another stunning hit! We truly can go anywhere in Maine including all the islands from York through Kennebunkport to Portland Maine. Let us help you realize your dream wedding. Just give us a call and ask for Liz! (603) 570-4857.
We always love to hear from our clients. It fills us with gratitude and makes us a bit humble at the same time when we get such great letter. We are all very busy in our lives so when someone takes the time to drop us a note like this it makes the experience even more special!
You may remember this outdoor event because we posted it’s setup last week in a few blog posts. The event was over the weekend and the client not only thanked us but shared two pictures with us. Again we thank the family for entrusting us with their very special wedding event and allowing us to enhance a truly memorable life experience.
I am writing this note with a huge smile on my face!! The wedding was spectacular & special, even with the thunderstorm that ensued about 15 minutes after the ceremony!!! No one seemed to care as the partying had begun. I want you to know how the tent totally blended into our backyard scenery & all our guests that that it was a permanent deck!! Yikes, can you imagine a deck that size???
From start to finish, you & the rest of your crew have been so helpful & all your hard work was so appreciated. I must admit, I could not quite imagine how it would look (& why the flooring was so expensive!!!) but it was one of the 7 wonders of the world!!! I promise to forward a professional photo once we receive them. Again, my sincere thanks for an outstanding professional job. I’ve given your name to lots of friends & neighbors.
It took many hot days this week to get everything ready for a beautiful wedding event this weekend! As always the crew came through in shining colors and it shows in the pride of workmanship and a job well done!
You can’t pick your weather, but you can prepare for it Here is a great article on wedding and event tent rental pros and cons by MegHotchkiss, LVR Events in New York. Meg covers all the bases addressing the why when and how of renting a tent and all the associated equipment that goes inside the tent. We offer a complete solution for all your rental needs so give us a call we are ready to help.
I’m going to let you in on a little secret that I learned early on in my career as an event planner—you can control a great number of things, but the weather will never be one of them. I know, I know. This isn’t want you want to hear. No one wants to rent a tent for their wedding. They can be expensive, and daunting to think about, and the sky is just so lovely this time of year. But if you have to rent a wedding tent (and don’t kid yourself: outdoor venue, no backup plan, high chance of rain? You may have to), then you’re going to want to make sure you price that in your “affordable and easy” outdoor venue cost early on, and then keep reading. Because there is actually (surprisingly) kind of a lot you need to know: Continue reading →

There’s a strong spirit of individualism in the air this new year, with couples keen on infusing their ceremonies and receptions with personality — their own. “Couples want to communicate who they are,” says Allison Laesser-Keck, of Viva La Diva Events in southeast Michigan. “They, of course, want their wedding to be elegant and Magical and still very fun for their guests. But they also want all of the details to reflect who they are as a couple, their tastes. The result is a wedding that feels very personal and unique.” How does all of this individuality come together? In the details, of course! Here are the most noteworthy wedding trends we’ve got our eye on this year. Continue reading →
