Believe it or not, we didn’t meet Mitch and Sean in person until the day before their wedding. We corresponded mostly on email or phone or Skype beforehand since they were planning long-distance. When we showed up to see the venue and to lead the rehearsal, Mitch and Sean greeted with a hug and were so warm and welcoming. That was really a theme of their wedding; it was a beautiful and heartfelt weekend and we were so glad to be a part of it. Continue reading →
Sperry Tents Seacoast was on the road again last week meeting with clients for 2018 weddings. Here is a stunning late fall photo of an exquisite Oceanside backyard on Dolivers Neck Road in Gloucester Massachusetts. We would install custom anchors to install our 46×105 Sperry Sailcloth Tent. We are only limited by our imagination!
Today I was invited to meet with Holly Varney of The Groton Inn. This beautiful facility located in iconic Groton Mass. burnt to the ground in 2011. It took years of effort to gain approvals to rebuild the inn.
Today’s visit was remarkable. The architecture and workmanship in the new facility is a site to be seen. They are creating a specific area for tented weddings. The site rivals any tent venue in Northern New England. It has rolling hills and beautiful trees with hundreds of cattle grazing in the backdrop. It is right out of a movie!
I strongly recommend that clients call Holly at the Inn for a wedding package.
Working with event planner Kate Dawson Events we installed a 66×66 twin pole Sperry Tent with dance floor and stage. The tent was accented with Bistro Lights, creating a breathtaking environment to have a wedding. We were back at the Eastern Yacht Club for another top end event. Eastern Yacht Club is a historic club overlooking Marblehead’s breathtaking harbor, organized to promote yachting, and serve the varied interests of its membership.
46×65 Sperry Tent for party last Friday in Nahant, Mass. We installed a beautiful Notice the southern Yellow Pine Polished Wood Dance Floor and custom stage so everyone could dance the night away in style and comfort. All of our floors and stages are leveled to perfection.

Go anywhere set up anywhere… we can do that. Recently we had the opportunity to set up one of our Tents over an Olympic swimming pool! What an awesome challenge to safely construct a temporary floor over such a large area, but we did it without a hitch. Here we are prepping the area where construction will take place. Staging all the parts so they go together in sequence. We start with the support structure that goes into the pool. This is quite the undertaking because you’re working in a POOL! It has a slopping deep end and the supports must rest on a plaster surface, Protecting the pools finish was a major concern. Here we are installing the deep end framing working our way up the pool. Everything has to be straight, level and square to insure proper dispensation of the weight this framing will have to support. All support beams had to be properly padded so we didn’t harm the pool surface.
The finished sailcloth tent was absolutely beautiful. Check out some of the pictures. You would never know there was a pool under that tent. SO honey that’s where the pool went!
